Skye is a writer. She's a Black Choctaw Latina, the daughter of a Belizean immigrant homemaker and a Mississippi born railroad cook who met on an escalator in New Orleans. As a journalist, she broke ceilings by being the youngest edit writer in the country. As a TV writer, she reached heights by creating an alien race that became recurring chars on Star Trek Voyager, being on the writing staff of The Burning Zone, and writing a movie for Showtime. Her 2014 screenplay Ex Appeal was a Sundance semi-finalist. And her screenplay written in homage to Warm December was optioned by Griot Films. Currently, she is writing the screenplay to a courtroom drama based on an IP, and a crime drama based on her sleepless nights working with homicide. Earlier this year, she completed an hour-long dramady set in Cape Cod.
